Maroc Telecom recorta comisiones : Comerciantes y sindicatos se enfrentan al gigante de las telecomunicaciones

The Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT) is angry with Maroc Telecom. At the origin of this anger, the decision of the Moroccan historical operator to reduce the commission of merchants on recharge cards. Itissalat Al-Maghrib has "reduced the profit margin on recharges from 7% to 4.5%", "while merchants are asking for an increase in their profit margin on the different forms of recharge, whether they are instant or by recharge cards", explains the UMT in a press release.

The union of merchants and craftsmen wants to use certain means in order to avoid this situation from continuing. It has asked Maroc Telecom to "immediately reverse its decision", which it describes as "thoughtless and incorrect". To hope to prevail, the union intends to put pressure on the operator. It has called on all merchants, regardless of their professional activities, to "stop replenishing all forms of Itissalat Al-Maghrib recharge and to stop selling them until the company’s management reverses its decision and responds to the demand for an increase in the profit margin".
